Electrical Consultants, Inc. ECI has an opening for a Transmission Line Senior Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities include the conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines, including material procurement and construction support through line energization. Additional responsibilities include working under the guidance of an Engineering or Department Manager to service as a senior technical person for tranmission line projects and provide regular technical interface with clients; apply a broad and diversified knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and transmission line design practices to complex and technically challenging assignments; develop and evaluation design soluations; perform and review advanced engineering analyses, providing technical direction to project teams, leading quality-control reviews, resolving complex design issues, and supporting standards development and technical decision making; act as a mentor to less experience engineers and help develop the technical capabilities of the trasmission team.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years' project engineering experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience; a PE license is required; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organization and planning skills; commitment to quality and accuracy; and a willingness and ability to meet fast-paced project schedules. The successful applicant must have an advanced knowledge of transmission engineering principals, be expert regarding applicable codes, standards and design tools, and have the ability to direct and oversee multiple technical disciplines in the completion of transmission line projects. The ability to resolve conflicting priorities and schedules is expected. The successful applicant may be subject to client-mandated drug and background checking. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to ECI's auto insurance carrier requirements. This position is intended for an experienced engineer who wishes to be focused on technical engineering, design quality, and mentorship. Successful applicant may be subject to client mandated drug and background checking and is required to meet the requirements of ECI's auto insurance carrier.
